Q1 2026: What We Shipped

Real data. Real repos. A transparent look at what we built in the first quarter of 2026.

Here is a Q1 snapshot across all 21 active projects. This is what the first 78 days of 2026 actually looked like inside our repos. Hyvä rebuilds, new customers, bespoke loyalty platforms, and a lot of deployments.

📊 Q1 in Numbers

Across 21 projects, here's what we shipped between 1 January and 19 March 2026:

MetricThe CountTranslation
Tasks Closed245Issues resolved and tickets ticked across the portfolio.
Features Delivered109New capabilities shipped to production.
Bugs Squashed103Digital pests removed before they caused headaches.
Deployments122Code shipped to production—roughly twice a day.
Merge Requests126Code reviews passed and merged.
Total Commits837The raw effort—every save, every update, every improvement.

🏗️ Spotlight: Subside Sports — The Hyvä Rebuild

The biggest project of Q1 was a full front-end rebuild of Subside Sports. We migrated their entire storefront from a legacy Luma based theme to Hyvä—the modern, performance-first Magento front end.

This wasn't a reskin. It was a ground-up rebuild of every customer-facing template: homepage, category pages, product pages, cart, checkout, blog, hub pages, size guides, mega menu, footer—the lot. Across multiple language stores (UK, NL, DE, BE, AU, FR).

The numbers:

  • 36 tasks closed
  • 26 merge requests merged
  • 34 commits
  • 6 deployments

Why Hyvä matters:

  • Performance. Hyvä strips out the bloated Luma JavaScript layer, resulting in dramatically faster page loads and better Core Web Vitals scores.
  • 🎨 Modern UX. A clean, contemporary design that matches the rebrand—built with Tailwind CSS for pixel-perfect control.
  • 🔧 Maintainability. Less code, fewer dependencies, faster development cycles going forward.

🤝 Welcome to the Family: SWR Group & Yeomans

Q1 saw two new customers join the outer/edge portfolio.

SWR Group

SWR Group joined us in Q1 and we've hit the ground running with onboarding, initial codebase review, and laying the foundations for their platform. 60 commits already in the repo.

Yeomans

Yeomans came on board and we've already shipped 27 tasks, including a Magento 2.4.8 upgrade, Stripe payment migration, and major work across their Alpha and CPO shop storefronts. 56 commits, 5 merge requests, and 6 deployments in just the first quarter.

🎁 Spotlight: Annie Haak — Pay with Points

We built a bespoke rewards exchange program for Annie Haak Designs—a custom "Pay with Points" system that lets loyal customers redeem their accumulated reward points directly in the account area.

This isn't an off-the-shelf plugin. It's a tailored integration that works alongside their existing loyalty programme to offer bespoke products to their most loyal customers.

The numbers:

  • 73 commits
  • 9 merge requests
  • 12 tasks closed
  • 11 deployments

🚀 Deploying to production next week.

🧹 The Simplicity Score

We have a philosophy at outer/edge—the best code is often no code. A bloated project is a slow project, so we love it when we get to delete things.

  • Lines of Code Added: 398,660
  • Lines of Code Deleted: 343,926
  • The "Cleanup" Ratio: ~86%

Why we love this: For every 100 lines added, we removed 86. That represents technical debt removed, legacy modules replaced, and codebases simplified. Projects like the Subside Hyvä rebuild are a perfect example: stripping out the old Luma front end and replacing it with something leaner and faster.

🤓 The Fun Facts

  • 🕷️ Pest Control: We squashed 103 bugs in 78 days—more than one digital pest removed per day, including 4 urgent ones caught before they caused real damage.
  • 🚀 Ship It: 122 deployments across 78 days means we shipped to production more than 1.5 times every single day. Weekends included.
  • 📏 The Height of Code: If we printed every line of code written this quarter (398,660 lines), the stack of paper would be taller than the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth (170m).

🔭 What's Next?

Q1 was about building foundations—new customer onboarding, major rebuilds, and bespoke feature development. Q2 is about building on top of them.

Annie Haak's Pay with Points launches next week. And we're just getting started with SWR Group and Yeomans.
